back from London. that 12hr flight from heathrow to s'pore in SIA was a real killer. couldn't really take a nap. I say NAP bcos the act of sleeping is marked by the presence of a huge bed + lots n lots of pillows! well... the other reason was that i cldnt take my eyes of my tv screen. was watchin alot of movies. oh oh oh... i so lovee IL DIVO. They have lyk super powerful angelic voices that can uplift the soul within me!
AND... i have 1 new pimple, 2 small red blobs on one side of my cheek (they are actually insect bites according to my mum) and i have blisters on my lips- this was bcos of the return flight. It was so cold and my efforts of applying moisturizer on my lips remained in vain for it insisted on being dry and lifeless. Yes.i was in a PITIFUL, PATHETIC and LAMENTABLE state. Unsurprisingly, it wld be entirely absurd to say that i didnt enjoy my hols. cos i did. I HAD A BLAST!
i shall just sum up abt my trip. we, as in my family n i stayed at da sheraton in Heathrow. visited places like the Westminster abbey, tower of London, Buckingham Palace (didnt get to see the queen- nvrmind for i wld be staying in london), National Gallery, British Musuem and the V & A.
i must say the national gallery was a real treat for me. The paintings there were like so beautiful, especially the virgin on the rocks. n i just loveed the whole place cos it was soo influenced by the renaissance architecture.
SHOPPING. Yes. i had a major MAJOR shopping feast! especially at cambridge and piccadily circus in london. bought LOTS OF STUFF. haha wad can i say..itsa shopping paradise.:)))) but no matter what you touch, its almost 3 times the price here. But i cant help spending my money.. haha my eyes just twinkle with delight wenever i see smthin that i really wanttt!
OH YES. Cambridge is such a nice place. da cambridge uni has an amazing ancient outlook. that i sooo liked :)) i like the way the university chooses to remain traditional. Oooh i also learnt that the founders of cambridge uni actually studied in the oxford uni. how contradicting can these two loggerheads be?! haha.
